Overview: The University of Georgia and Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University share a longstanding commitment to accelerating cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment and educating the next generation of cancer researchers. The 2023 UGA-Winship Cancer Research Summit will focus on exploring the strengths and synergies of the two institutions, sharing knowledge and partnering for impact in the state of Georgia and beyond.

• When:  Monday, July 17, 2023, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• Where: Pharmacy South Building, 250 West Green Street NW, Athens, GA
• Audience: Students, trainees and research faculty
• Poster Abstract Submission (Closed): The poster abstract and presentation request due date was Friday, July 7. You may upload your 1-page abstract when you register online. Two abstracts from each institution will be selected for oral presentation (10 minutes followed by a short Q&A). Program Highlights 

• Keynote presentation by Nicole Lopanik, PhD, of the American Cancer Society
• Student/trainee presentations from each university
• Faculty presentations on emerging topics that span basic, translational, clinical and population sciences
• Poster session reception featuring student and trainee research

Location: In 2023 the UGA-Winship Cancer Research Summit will be hosted on the University of Georgia Campus, in the Pharmacy South Facility. Parking is available at the South Deck Parking Lot located at 100 W. Green Street, Athens, GA, 30602.
